Next to religion and politics, no topic seems to generate as much controversy as art. Like most artists, I consider color, shape, and texture in my photographic compositions. I do understand, however, that art must also communicate emotionally, almost viscerally, and is also deeply personal. More than one person has asked, “I wonder why she took that image; what was she seeing?” What I see when I shoot my images is subjective, personal, a “timeless moment” I want to “capture forever.”
